James Auger is a designer, researcher and educator who uses practice-based design approaches to examine the meaning of existence in technology-rich environments today and in the near future. After graduating in Design Products from the Royal College of Art, he worked for the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute, the Media Lab Europe and did his PhD. Parallel to his academic work, he is a partner in the speculative design practice collaboration of Auger-Loizeau. Their projects have been published and exhibited internationally. Auger currently lives and works in Paris.
