Bianca Elzenbaumer is a design researcher based in the Italian Alps. She is a member and co-founder of the design collective Brave New Alps. She co-produces participatory design projects that engage people in reconfiguring the politics of social and environmental issues. She combines design research methods with feminist pedagogy, feral approaches to community economies and lots of DIY making and collective organising. Bianca Elzenbaumer currently also works as a Marie Skłododwska-Curie Fellow at the Institute for Regional Development at Eurac Research (IT) and is the co-president of Cipra International, the international commission for the protection of the Alps.
